By ALTAVE | February 01, 2022
ALTAVE, an intelligent monitoring company for large areas and connectivity, took part in Crea-SP's 3rd Paulista Meeting of Environmental Engineering, broadcast online. As part of the panel “Engineering in the solution for smarter cities”, participants commented on how the company's solution meets the criteria for smart cities and societies on a global level.
ALTAVE's highlight was the presentation of its software and patented solution of captive balloons, capable of reaching heights of up to 200 meters, equipped with IoT radios, antennas and cameras. The combination seeks to solve two contemporary problems: establishing connectivity for remote environments and monitoring large areas persistently and intelligently.
The company added that as well as offering benefits for smart cities, the solution is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN's 2030 Agenda. The connectivity and monitoring offered can improve the efficiency of public services, expand possibilities for quality education and modernize local industry.
Smart cities are safer
According to a survey by the consultancy McKinsey & Company, smart cities can reduce crime rates by 30 to 40%, and connectivity can also help improve public health, decrease carbon emissions, and increase emergency response speed.
